Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I require the following functions added:
1. Add a 'running live count' of the number of page
views or clicks made on each thumbnail? The count is based on the total
number of clicks the thumbnail receives from all users and changes
dynamically each time it's clicked. The current user's click will thus be
added incrementally. View this example image:
http://i1216.photobucket.com/albums/dd372/ronsowewonso/wordpress%20contracts/click-count.png
As it is, clicking the image will launch a new page..... This needs to remain.
2. In the rest state, ie. when no user has clicked the thumbnail the
counter should be visible and depict views = 0 and target = ''whatever value admin assigns in the backend"
3. A way for admin to assign a target click value for each and every
thumbnail as some will have a higher / lower target than others. Ideally, this should be another entry field on the portfolio page in the back end.
4. Once the click target is reached, all a user can see below the image is a message saying ''Ended''. The user can still click the thumbnail and the thumbnail picture is enlarged (no page should be launched once the target has been reached) View this image:
http://i1216.photobucket.com/albums/dd372/ronsowewonso/wordpress%20contracts/click-count-ended.png
5. An email should be sent to admin that the click count has been reached with a reference to the particular thumbnail id. A date & time stamp would be great too.
Visit this url to http://sportciti.com/portfolio/ to see the current customised theme, click the thumbnails to see how they currently behave.
Regards and thanks
