Wordpress site update -- work with designer on back-end stuff

I am working with a company to update their website content and structure. I can do html, and the front end web development. What I need help with is: making a staging/development copy of the wordpress site to rearrange content/test themes, etc; get recommendations and help with plugins for managing content; then help making the development/staging site the live site. I am thinking about 10 hours total, but please give me a more accurate estimate if you think it will require more/less time. The timeframe is ASAP. Would like to be done by the end of October.
