Wordpress Previous/Next Post Slider

I am looking for a panel to slide out offering further reading suggestions once you reach the bottom of the page, similar to the bottom right of the page here:

I do not want a plugin for this - I just want it to be called when viewing single posts.

My site is based on the Studiopress Genesis framework so anyone with experience of that will know that the Simple Hooks can be used for this.
