Description
Experience Level: Expert
We need a plugin that adds an interactive map to a website based on WordPress. This map will likely use Google Maps and will be populated with different landmarks data points (icons), which are user generated (e.g. a location of a specific item within the UK). The map must be searchable where specific landmark points can be turned on and off based on the search results, category selection, or the visible map region being displayed.
We envisage that the user inputed landmark points will be stored in a database along with additional information related to these landmarks, and this database will automatically populate the map. Each map user will register and complete a site profile page that will transfer relevant information to the database (some of which will appear on the map itself), as well as creating a unique user profile page on the website. This profile webpage will appear based on icons being clicked on the map.
The backend (dashboard) features must allow administrators to control the map, add new items to the map, assign/edit/approve new users, and add/edit categories that will form the navigation on the map.
The map needs to be visually pleasing, with neat user-friendly navigation and displays. There are specific aspects that will need to be discussed in more detail, and we will discuss these by personal email or Skype with suitable bidders.
