Estimated project duration: quick fix

we have made changes to our wordpress theme. The problem is the files are there but the changes are not showing, the old files have not changed on the front end, even though you can see they have changed on the server. We have been advised that is an issue with the server cache, this needs to be cleared. We have rebooted the (mage )server but this has not resolved issue.
