Description:
To be initially employed on a rolling consultancy basis, we have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic Web Designer, who has solid Web Design and User Design Development skills, to join our dynamic and growing IT company based in Borehamwood.
Company:
Our Company is a leading provider of powerful online booking and reservation solutions to companies in the events and activities market place.
Role:
You will be responsible for and have ownership of front-end system design and will assist our software developers in the build and delivery of our brand new web-based booking platform.
Responsibilities and Experience:
To assist in the development of requirements and technical specifications as agreed with our software developers. The website and our software is constantly being enhanced, with new requirements being added continually. Your main responsibility will be designing user interfaces for an new web application and continue design unification throughout the whole site and new areas for the site/application. You must have a strong eye for typography and information architecture.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a Web Designer and User Experience role. You will have hands on experience of User Experience (UX) design, CSS, Ajax, Wordpress, XHTML and HTML4-5, CMS configuration all within a .Net development environment,
Desirable skills:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience UX/UI design.
• Demonstrable experience of designing user interfaces for .Net web applications (supported by a portfolio of work)
• Proficient with visual design software including but not limited to Photoshop & Illustrator
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills that allow you to clearly communicate design concepts with colleagues and developers
• Ability to work at a fast pace to tight deadlines
• Capable of producing standards compliant HTML 4/5 and CSS 2/3
• Capable of using JavaScript/other client-side scripting languages to design simple interactions
• Team player
• Able to work under own initiative and to strict deadlines
• Adaptable and flexible to fast moving environment
• Excellent time management and flexible approach to working hours
