Web-based Software Requirement Specification

We require a fully written and detailed web-based software requirement specification report to supply to our chosen IT partners. One partner is responsible to deliver the technical aspect of the system and the other partner is responsible for the design and creativity. We will also appoint a specialist to deliver the integration of an existing system to the web-based system.

We need someone to understand what we require and transcript the requirements into a detailed written document and provide clear guidelines to the IT partners on what to deliver for us and when. The document must describe all the data required, functional and behavioural requirements for a typical web-based portal.

The document needs to identify the goals and objections of the portal and it needs to describe the scope, context and constraints. The system needs to be flexible and be able to be user friendly as well as be adaptable for different user types. The system is required to manage all the different relationships that are involved in the project and the various partners.

The document must include a narrated description of the functional model including flow charts and interface descriptions. The documents needs to be split between technical phases and creativity phases.

The document must include basic items i.e details of all the languages and coding used, security, hosting details, etc. In addition the document must provide a detailed support service for users and a training procedure for new users.

The report must be split into phases for each partner so costs can be managed according to completion of phases.

The document will need to be evolving as the system begins to take shape and to record progress.
