Experience Level: Intermediate
GENERAL PURPOSE
The core function of this position is to plan, implement and maintain SIP network infrastructure. This position will also participate in the development of processes and relationships with other departments within Stelekom Global Network Ltd to meet the needs in planning, designing, building, and managing the VOIP network.
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to perform SIP debugs, capture and analyze SIP, H232, and RTP to isolate and resolve issues
•Understanding of Jitter, Delay, Echo, Gaps, and how to troubleshoot these occurrences
• Hands on experience configuring Cisco routers and switches
• Good knowledge and understanding of Gendband S / Nextone
• Experience with SIP Peering and interconnects between carriers
• Intermediate to advanced Unix scripting experience is a plus
Experience with IP PBX Trunking and SIP Connect a plus
