We’re a B2B professional service provider, on the verge of launching a new website and new marketing campaigns. We’re looking to create a video for a landing page which encourages prospective clients to book a free consultation with our Client Engagement Manager (Sales Manager).
We weren’t planning on using a set script (unless this is required), so would need guidance on how and what to prepare ready to make the most of the session and ensure the content hits the mark.
The video would be recorded in a (newly renovated) home office in Woburn Sands or, if you prefer, we could book an offsite meeting room (e.g. Regus) if this is better. Or you may have a studio/office of your own that we can come to. We are on a tight timeline, so ideally the video can be recorded next week and turned around in good time - ideally a fortnight from filming to we have the final video, if this can work at all.
The home office contains an iMac computer, desk and shelving (we can buy some props, e.g. business/startup related books, if needed for the background). It's newly renovated and very neutral.
Video content:
- Our Sales manager will explain the format of the consultation call, go over some of the questions that she will ask on the call, why we ask them, when we’ll call them, etc… i.e. explain the details of the call and the reason for it.
- She can talk about how the experience is for her, e.g. “I love having these conversations because it's very rewarding. I'm able to witness how much of a difference having just a little support makes not only for our client's businesses but also with the clients themselves.”
- We’d like to use a combination of the interview format, Behind The Scenes and some B-Roll of her, as well as potentially some footage of some of our clients we already have, if this would work. We have some audio recordings from interviews we did with them (where clients talk about how great the consultation call is) and high quality footage of one client speaking about her experience of working with Virtalent to camera.
- There is no set length to the video (it doesn’t need to be crammed in unnecessarily). We’ll put the key information towards the start and expect viewers to drift off and book the consultation call.
- The opening shouldn’t show our logo or any kind of intro, but instead open with our Sales Manager speaking to the camera. This is a landing page for a PPC campaign - we want to cut straight to the chase!
- The ad campaign is the main purpose of the video, but we are likely to want to make other versions for use elsewhere in the future (e.g. a video ad campaign). We can come to this at a later date so please leave this out of the quotation.
It should:
- Feel personal (mirroring the style of a consultation call as closely as possible) - this is not a promo video talking about the company as a whole, but rather convincing that one prospect to book the call with our Sales Manager.
- It should be engaging and make an emotional connection with our audience. I would expect our Sales Manager to be talking to the camera for most of the video. Our ethos/culture is very “human”, down to earth and personable, not cold, corporate or “stuffy” so the video edit needs to reflect this.
- The lighting needs to be great, so light stands might be needed. It goes without saying the audio also needs to be crystal clear. We're looking for a professional level video.
Our audience are entrepreneurs / business owners looking to outsource some of their workload. I will, of course, provide more information on our audience and explain the business in more detail. We also use a marketing agency that have good experience with video content (the co-founder used to be a videographer himself), so they can provide any information or a more detailed brief if this is missing here.
This is the first time we've done this so not quite sure what information you need at this stage. The budget is also not set in stone - again, I don't know what's involved here so it's hard to say.
