Hi
I have never done anything like this before so please forgive me for being uninformed etc about the complexities or difficulties of what I may need/am asking !
I am looking to put together a short music video in relation to an online crowdfunding campaign I will launch shortly, after the election. I have completed 3 years of vet school but have had to take time out as I could not afford my tuition fees. I am a mature student so do not get student loans etc and have to save the entire amount in cash. Having worked for the last two years (before losing my job in August) I am no further forward so I need to do something drastic to get back to uni, hence the crowdfunding campaign. To my deep regret I am not 21 and stunningly beautiful as many of the students doing crowdfunding campaigns will be - more tending towards middle aged and slightly errrr voluptuous - so I need to stand out and if possible make people laugh. Hence the parody music video.
I have written the lyrics to a short music video - about a minute or not much over that - being a parody of Eminem. I have a studio to record the track and a friend's husband who is an amateur photographer to film the video. What I need it twofold:
(a) the music video will need some minor special effects in places and I expect may need tidied up a bit re colour etc. Also I will use some very brief existing video footage from youtube that may also need jazzed up a bit. Just a couple of seconds. There are a couple of still images that will be included in the video (e.g a meme of Grumpy Cat) that could also with with some effects.
(b) the video itself needs put together, including the sound put on. I will try to keep the places where I am rapping directly into the camera to a minimum to make this easier. In addition to the music video portion I will have an introduction (my name, why I have made the video etc) which I think we can record sound directly to video at the time.
I have been unemployed for the last 8 months after losing my job and my home in addition to which both my elderly cats had tumors within 6 months of each other - both of which required radiotherapy. Luck has not been my middle name recently....... though both cats are cured now which is amazing and as my life can't get any worse short of the house burning down, it has to get better and better from here on :) I know with the right help I can definitely succeed in this crowdfunding campaign! So, I do have a limited budget, but I also know that in life you have to spend money to make money so I certainly don't expect anyone to work for free. I would also envisage giving full credit on my funding page to all of the people who have worked with me on the project.
If anyone is interested in working with me on this video please let me know :)
