I need a video logo design

I need a video logo for a new Youtube channel called "Viral History". The content will be short, punchy films about historical events and subjects. I would say the interested age range 14 years and upwards. A maximum duration of 5 seconds. I'd like to use the logo in static form for social media and business cards.

I was thinking of using a pocket watch ticking and/ or a egg timer with sand flowing upwards (that is backwards) and resolving into the text "Viral History". The idea is to draw people in.
