Everyday Text Photography Project (China)

We are looking for freelancers based in China to participate in a localized photography project focused on capturing everyday text from the real world.

The images will be used for text-based visual documentation and research purposes, following structured category guidelines.

You will be responsible for taking original photos of items containing printed or written text — such as storefronts, flyers, receipts, menus, schedules, and public notices — and organizing them by type.

This project is open to multiple freelancers, each contributing images from their own region or city.

Scope of Work:

Capture clear, real-world images of text-based items (e.g., business cards, flyers, storefronts, schedules, menus, receipts, etc.)

Take 3 photos per object (different angles or lighting conditions)
Ensure image variety — avoid similar or duplicate items
Organize images into folders by category
Follow the provided capture and naming guidelines (shared after selection)
Ensure that no personal or sensitive information is visible in the images

Requirements:

Based in China (Simplified Chinese)
Native or fluent in Simplified Chinese
Smartphone or camera with good photo quality
Ability to follow simple documentation guidelines
Reliable internet access for file submission

Deliverables:

Minimum of XX image sets (each set = 3 photos of one object)
All images must be clear, readable, and category-compliant
Upload completed batches to the shared workspace as instructed

Compensation:

Payment is based on the number of approved images
Only valid, non-duplicate, and high-quality images will be accepted
Payment will be released within 15–20 days after final approval
