Hello,
I was wondering if would be able to help. I am looking to get a very large size poster of an image I love, to hang on my living room wall. Unfortunately, that image can only be found as an old small black and white picture on the internet (see attachment).
I am not a techie at all but I heard there is a way to enlarge a picture without loosing quality called 'genuine fractals'.
Would someone be able to retouch a small old black and white image so that it could be enlarged to an approximate 150cm size (horizontal dimension) and printed into a high quality black and white poster? Is that possible and realistic?
Thank you.
Best regards,
Georges

I would try to find out who took the picture before you go ahead with this, firstly because they own the picture and you shouldn't steal it to print, secondly because they will have a much larger version of this to sell you.

Nothing - including Genuine Fractals - can blow up a tine web image with detail to a 150cm quality print..There just isn't detail enough in the image at that size (you're just enlarging fuzzy blocks of pixels past a certain point. The best option - though . Would you consider that?
