Recolouring of gif animations

I have two gifs (loading screen logos) I would like to copy and remap the colours of them so that it matches a different colour scheme.

Likely, this would be done by breaking down a gif into its individual frames and remapping the colours on each frame to new colours, then recombining the frames into the recoloured gif.

I have read online that this is not too tricky to do for someone who knows how to use colour remapping tools.
