This proposal has now closed.
Please note: To be considered for this job, you *must* submit a sketch of the *first* illustration. It is not necessary for you to send me portfolios of your work or links to brochures or business cards you have designed in the past. The correct person for this contract will be someone who takes the ten minutes to sketch out the first illustration so I can see if my requirements are understood. Don't fall into the trap of thinking that in those ten minutes the job will be given to someone else. It will not. I will make my decision after the cut-off point.
The following eight web illustrations are required:
1. Baby
2. Toddler
3. Teenage (14+)
4. Mid Twenties
5. Mid Thirties
6. Mid Forties
7. Mid Fifties
8. Old Man
I require eight illustrations for a new display which will appear on my site www.everygamegoing.com
Visit this site - you will see the chap (logo) who is the mascot of Everygamegoing in the top right of the screen.
I need eight illustrations of this fellow in different positions and in different periods of time.
The story of the new functionality which these illustrations represent is as follows:
1. A visitor to the site will be asked to input his date of birth.
2. For example, the visitor inputs 1978.
3. The next page will show him web illustration 1 (a picture of our mascot as a baby complete with dummy and nappy possibly with the game controller slightly out of reach and with him eying it up)
4. Next to the web illustration will be a narrative such as
"You were born in 1978, into the era of the Atari Intellvision. Blah blah."
There will be illustrations of the games that featured in this era dotted around. And a 'Next' button.
5. The next page will show him web illustration 2 (a picture of our mascot as a toddler reaching for a computer)
6. Next to the web illustration will be a narrative such as "Your first computer was likely to be a Commodore Vic 20 or a Sinclair Spectrum. You played games like blah blah."
There will be illustrations of the games that featured in this era dotted around. And a 'Next' button.
7. The user will proceed by clicking the Next button, admiring the pictures and reading about his computer history.
Images must be provided in .png format, with transparent background and should be a minimum of 2000px x 2000px. (They will be re-sized to appear on the site correctly.)
Each illustration must feature the recognisable hairstyle and face of the mascot and should also feature a gaming controller or computer somewhere (either in his hand or in the background). In each illustration he should be in a different pose - no shortcuts allowed.
This is a contract job and pays £160 for eight illustrations.
To be considered for this job, you must:
1. Be confident about your artistic skills
2. Be confident about delivering illustrations that meet the above requirements, and
3. Submit either a sketch of the *first* illustration or even a fully-baked version that meets the specification (You're
welcome to watermark it in such a case). *There is absolutely no need for you to spend more than 10 minutes on this - a good artist should easily be able to sketch out and scan something in that time.*
4. Please make your proposal for £160.00.
5. I will stop considering proposals at 19:00pm 15th October 2016, and consider the ones which I have got. Please don't submit after this time.

Is the budget flexible as it is currently very low?
David E.15 Oct 2016It's not flexible (I came up with it based on £20 per image and the fact that you only have to adapt the mascot on the home page, rather than guess what it is what I want).
