Freelance Writer (Cinematography & Filmmaking)

We’re looking for filmmakers with experience in cinematography and filmmaking who can write clear, practical articles for our blog.

Our audience is mainly independent filmmakers, so we’re not looking for overly technical or academic writing. The goal is to create clear, useful content that genuinely helps people improve their cinematography skills.

Topics may include:
• Lighting setups
• Camera techniques
• Lens choices
• Shot composition
• Camera movement
• Low-budget filmmaking tips
• On-set workflows
• Real-world lessons from productions

Articles should feel natural and conversational — like advice from someone who has actually worked on shoots and understands the realities of filmmaking.

Articles should also include helpful visual examples such as images, diagrams, frame breakdowns, or short video references to help explain concepts clearly.

Requirements:
• Real-world cinematography or camera department experience
• Strong understanding of cameras, lighting, lenses, and visual storytelling
• Ability to write in a clear, engaging, and practical style
