Description
Experience Level: Expert
The task here is to further develop the integration of Post Affiliate Pro (PAP) with NOP Commerce. The expected deliverable is a desktop application (.exe file - with source) written in either VB or C# that will use the “PapApi.class.php” library from PAP to read from the Commission queue all pending orders.
Then compare each order to the NOP database. If the order is tagged as Paid in NOP then simply update the status of the Commission to “Approved” in PAP.
It’s that easy! :-)
Functional Elements
1. The exe doesn’t have to be pretty. I’m basically just going to schedule it to run once a day on my local machine. The application can simply have a single form with a Load event that calls the main worker sub
2. The main worker sub can do the following
a. Make the call to PAP that gets a list of all pending orders (commissions).
b. In a loop take each of those orders and query the NOP database to determine if the order is paid.
i. If the order is paid then update the status of the item in the PAP system to “Approved”. Also after update is called build a string of order ID’s with a carriage return that will be later be emailed to a user recorded in App.Config.
ii. If the order is not paid do nothing.
3. Finally send the “Daily Report” out via email
4. Close the application automatically
5. Error Handling - Please also email error messages to the same user located in App.config for the following items.
a. PAP connection problem
b. NOP Connection problem
c. Others (You Can Think Of)
6. Put as many variables as possible in App.Config so they can easily change without a recompile.
a. NOP - Connection String
b. PAP – Any variables necessary for connectivity.

C# .NET communication with API: http://support.qualityunit.com/knowledgebase/post-affiliate-pro/programmers-documentation/c-sharp-net-communication-with-api.html
Once accepted you will also be provided with a login to PAP and a backup copy of my SQL Server Database. If needed I can host a staging DB Server for you to make it easier.
I would love to have this project completed by end of business wednesday, I figured for a mid-senior level developer this would be a days worth of work.
Thank you. Good luck.
