Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 3 - 4 weeks
I'm looking for a London-based UX freelancer to start ASAP who can help us with a really fun project - a consumer-focused social network website we've built. I estimate the project will take about 3 weeks full-time initially, then an ongoing ad-hoc contribution.
Currently the website has a lot of rough edges like key navigation options that are hidden, screens that don't have clear next steps illustrated, screens with too many options but little structure to differentiate between them etc.
We need to go back to basics and generate some user personas, figure out their key journeys through the website, and update the ux to be optimised around those journeys.
As a startup we don't have time or budget formal research etc, so you need a high degree of UX skills/experience to help compensate. The flip side is we're able to move fast and action the recommendations. We'm also open to lean/guerilla approaches.
You are:
- a user champion, understanding their needs and always putting the user first
- very experienced in working on UX for consumer-facing Internet sites
- experienced in working on responsive UX and have a good sensitivity to mobile vs desktop
- able to use prototyping tools such as Axure or Balsamiq
- used to producing standard UX deliverables - personas, user flows, wireframes, sitemaps, etc.
- good at Information Architecture and organising information and navigation
- a great communicator
If you're also a designer that's a bonus, but definitely not necessary.
If interested please send me a portfolio - eg. concepts, prototypes, wireframes, user journeys, site map examples.
