Dear Sir/Madam,
Hope you are doing well.
We have lived at our end terrace house for over 25 years and it has been a pleasant place to live. In 2014 sadly some really noisy neighbors moved in. We have had DIY after midnight at night, banging sounds and lots of disruption. We have complained to the council, issued legal notices and spoken to them about the issue.
The noise did drop after 3 years of complaining, however we have had to spend alot of money on soundproofing, wearing earplugs at home, feeling depressed and very low. It has ruined our life and we never feel happy in our own home now. It has affected me really badly i have not been able to work at home the few days i did mostly and had to get an office full time.
The neighbors are moving, which was luck, as they were in a relationship that has broken down. I wondered if i had a claim against them in the claims court for the costs we have incurred due to them and what evidence would be required? I also wondered due to the problems faced, whether a solicitor could write to the new estate agent detailing the issues faced, as i would not want to deal with a similar situation with the new neighbors that move in?
I really need some help and advice on this matter as i feel it has affected us badly and it needs to be dealt with in the correct way. I am a very friendly person and i am looking at working with someone on this project as soon as possible.
Thank you for reading my project description and i will be reviewing your bids frequently to choose someone to work with as soon as possible. I look forward to working with someone very soon. Thanks very much in advance.
Yours faithfully,
James Shaw
