Trademark application opposition

I require responding an opposition to our trademark application and opinion on the chances of winning if we proceed with our opposition should we decide to defend opposition

Facts are – I applied for trademark, which was opposed by another company’s attorney, initially opponents agreed for mutual settlement and we went for calling off period. But the suggested restrictions to our application are no better than initial proposal and I don’t see any advantage for me entering in to cooling off period (and delaying the process). Opponent have some other trademarks which contains the few letters of my proposed trademark, opponent don’t seem to be exactly in same business – but is claiming close to what I propose! Despite assuring non conflict the opponent is not really leaving anything from start of opposition
