Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
General information for the website: loan referrers
Description of requirements/features: I am starting a small loan lead generation business and need an easy to read, clear website that translates to iphones etc as well as PC’s.
We currently have no domain name. We are not brokers and offer no financial advice, we just send potential borrowers details to lenders/brokers who will then contact the applicants. This has to be stated on the sites homepage. There is other legal facts that need to be stated i.e APR’s etc, the type of which you will see on any website of a similar business. I can source this information or you can find it on similar websites.
I don’t want to make this message too long but I will briefly describe my vision of the site.
When the www address is visited I would like visitors to not land on the home page but on a page with links to different loan applications. These two websites have similar pages, although it does not land on them, as I have described : Loan Lenders in UK | Loan Company in UK | Loan Company in London, Loans from Loan.co.uk. I would like the same loan types as 24by7 loans just changing consolidation loans to personal loans. I would like this page to have a very brief message ‘ click to apply ‘ or something similar. I think it’s important that all the links/icons are visible when you land on the page, without having to scroll up or down. When a link is clicked the visitor will be directed to a page with a brief description and an application form to fill out. I envisage the description taking up the 1st third of the page on the left hand side and the application form taking up the other two thirds. The forms may be slightly different (not much just a couple of questions) but all will need the applicant to click an agreement –T and C’s to allow us/lenders/brokers to credit check them. I would like these forms to come to my email to be manually handled with the exception of the Payday loan link. This link will not be active immediately, it will need to be blanked out, but when we have the licensed agreement I would like this link to connect to a payday loan pingtree and be handled automatically with no input from us. This means you would need to allow an adjustment to the website at a later date as we currently have no license in place. All these application would need to be secure and safe.
There will also be home, contact pages but I don’t want reems of gumph that tend to inhabit these sites.
I feel it is important that the site looks professional (seems to mostly be done by adding stock photos of men in suits etc) but I also feel we need to somehow make the site ‘softer’ as they can seem a bit austere when I have visited similar. Companies like Gocompare managed this by using the meerkat and I have it in my head, probably incorrectly, that having an animal of sorts (maybe in cartoon form) on the site and in any accompanying advertising will create a softer image and be less intimidating. I really have no reasoning behind this mindset (no experience designing sites) so if you say I am talking rubbish, and give me reasons why it needs to be a colder site, I will not argue.
I would appreciate any response being worded for the layman as I have absolutely no knowledge of websites and the language that goes with them.
