VTiger Asset Management Modification

I am interested in changing the default function of the asset section of vTiger CRM

Currently vTiger has an asset module which links to a service, I would like this changing so it links to a customer instead.

Firstly, when entering an asset item there is a required field which brings up a search for an existing service (which is broken anyway), I would like this changing so it selects a customer instead.

Secondly, under the customer, in the More Info tab there are various elements ie trouble tickets etc, I would like to be able to see attached assets as well.

The work should be carried out on the latest vTiger version and finished work should consist of a zip/other archive containing the files which have been modified and an SQL script to modify/add anything to the database as I will need to do this on two vtiger installations.
