Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the website: For somethng Clever
Description of requirements/features: Hi there,
Work Spec:
*) Create a HTML popup in javascript that can contain text, graphics, or animations
*) Write the javascript in such a way that there is a single JS file to include in the page, and a single JS function to call to prepare the popup
*) Write the javascript such that it does not rely on, or conflict with any popular javascript libraries which may be in use on the site (e.g. jQuery, PrototypeJS, Mootools, etc)
*) Style the popup such that it will be visually striking to users and make them want to interact with it
*) The popup must have a close button or graphic, and should also close by clicking outside it
Extra credit:
*) We should be able to detect (by means of a cookie for example) if the user closed the popup or if they interacted with it, so we can decide if it should be shown again. It should be possible to disable this feature for countries where using cookies is legally problematic.
*) We should be able to apply alternate styling to the popup somehow.
Many Thanks in Advanced,
Claude.
