Someone fix my AWS EC2 instance!!!! Dev broke it

Hi, I've been running a WHM/cPanel web server for about a year on AWS. Yesterday during it's first serious backup/upgrade, we managed to lose the server somewhere along the way. There are AMIs, snapshots and volumes which SHOULD contain the right data but I need an expert to fix it, as we've clearly got it wrong ourselves. There are two domains pointing to it at the moment, one of which has nameservers with domain provider and the other (the one that's being used as a dev server) has nameservers pointing to the web server itself. This is probably confusing the issue.
