Small formatting problem when uploading a PDF to Createspace

Experience Level: Intermediate
I have created my book in WORD & converted to a PDF embedding the fonts as requested by CreateSpace. The whole thing looks great on both Word & PDF e.g. appearance of the pages etc. but once it's uploaded the pages have scrunched up to nearly the middle including the page numbers. It's obviously some simple formatting that I have missed, but I don't know how to fix. I cannot afford to pay any more than £20.
