Senior Systems Administrator

3 month contract within a prime site ~
As Linux Sys Admin you’ll be driven by the desire to ensure that every system and Linux hosted application is configured optimally.
When asleep you’ll have nightmares over “Is our build hardened against latest vulnerabilities or have I allowed enough resources for the grid compute system”. In your role, you will do all that you can to minimise the chances of these nightmares coming true.
• Operating systems Administration (Linux, some Cisco)
• Plans, manages and provides infrastructure support to agreed service levels
• In company with internal Sys Admin, administer Oracle business system host OS and
infrastructure (Linux).
• Data centre systems planning and implementation
• Administer Net App SAN clusters, including CIFSs, LUN creation and capacity management.
• Oracle/Tangasol Coherence Cache Administration.
• Grid Compute Administration
• Message Queue Administration
• 24 x 7 ecommerce business infrastructure or equivalent
• Administering heterogeneous connected computer systems predominantly Linux based
• Underpinning server architecture for applications
• Local/Wide Area Networks
• Enterprise Storage
• Intel x86 Server Technologies
