Recommendation Web App

I need an experienced web application developer to build an app to help people get recommendations from their friends. "Recommendations" in this context are things such as:

- Hotels in New York
- Italian Restaurants in Chicago
- Action Movies to Rent

Etc...

The idea is simple. Users create their initial recommendation statements using the app and then share these via their social networking profiles (i.e. Facebook, Twitter etc...). Their friends then click through to view the statement, enter their own recommendations and send it back to the original user.

The app will need to work flawlessly on both desktop and mobile devices, so a responsive web design approach will be required.

It's also critically important that performance is an absolute performance. The app must be optimised for speed, thereby delivering a great and positive user experience.
