I need some code to start a child process with a PHP script to start another program and then exit the PHP script.
The PHP script is an API called by a browser. The API code is written, I just need the code to start a child process.
Using exec( "some command &" ) does not work.
The job should be an hours work if you know what you are doing.
Probably a few minutes !
