1) Go to http://161.58.72.79/researchdb.php.
2) We need to add three buttons to this page: Add, Edit, Delete. The buttons will go directly below the drop-down list.
3) The Add button will allow users to add a new record to the “contact” table in the database. When the user clicks the Add button it should display a new page. The new page will include all the fields that are currently in the “researchdb.php” page, and include a “Submit” button and “Cancel” button. The user should be able to enter data in these fields. When they click Submit the data in the fields should be entered in a new record in the “contact” table, close the window, and return the user to the “researchdb.php” page. If the user clicks the Cancel button the page should close and return the user to the “researchdb.php” page.
4) The Edit button will allow users to edit the fields shown in the “researchdb.php” page. When the user clicks Edit the fields on this page should become editable, and Submit and Cancel buttons should be displayed. When the user clicks Submit the field data should update the appropriate record in the “contact” table in the DB. If the user clicks Cancel the fields on the page should become read-only again.
5) The Delete button will allow users to delete a record in the “contact” table in the DB. When the user clicks Delete a popup box should be displayed that says “Do you really want to delete the Principal Investigator shown on this page?”. If the user chooses Yes then delete the appropriate record in the “contact” table. The deleted record should correspond to the data currently shown in the “researchdb.php” page. If the user chooses No then just close the popup box.
