General information for the website: Inventory application
Kind of development: Customization of existing website
Description of requirements/features: We have an Laravel application that we use to enter our inventory. In the database there are currently around 35.000 products.

We are displaying products from two different tables and merge them together into one database which we use to show and search the products.

Currently the products page is loading in ~ 20 / 25 sec. and we would like to speed this up. We are looking for a developer who can optimise and speed up our application.

Your first easy win is to make sure that your merged database is using the engine "MyISAM" rather than the "InnoDB" engine (assuming it's a MySQL database).

I'm currently in the middle of tuning up a Laravel app with database tables containing 500k+ records and that simple change of database engine has knocked a lot of time off the queries.
