Experience Level: Intermediate
We need an expert sysadmin to help manage our Linode.com virtual server (LAMP) environment that hosts various Joomla websites. These sites are in development and will go to production in the next month or two.
Beyond the Linux OS, you will help with Joomla, PHP, apache, MySQL, and will handle server hardening/security, scripted backup/automation, etc. Ongoing duties will include maintenance, updates (OS, Joomla, Joomla extensions, plugins), crons/scripts, monitoring, and other common sysadmin tasks.
For example, we will need your help to build a migration plan for moving our development Joomla instances to production, outlining step-by-step what to do and in what order. We are looking for someone who does this for a living and can keep in regular contact with us as we grow.
