Description
Experience Level: Expert
I run a number of web sites in the Internet marketing field, including one site with an international customer base and which is in the top 10,000 most-visited sites in the US, and in the top 6,000 most-visited sites in the UK (Alexa).
The sites are built mainly on PHP/MySQL, and sitting on a redhat linux dedicated server at Rackspace, with Plesk to manage the server.
I'm looking to expand my development team in order to complete and help with a number of ongoing projects.
I therefore need someone *based in the UK* with the skillset described below, who is able to work on an ongoing and consistent basis, and who is willing to work with my existing development team and show a high-level of commitment.
The number of hours each week will vary depending on project levels, but I need someone who is able to work 20 or so hours a week on a consistent basis going forward.
The right applicant should be able to work with business-critical live systems, and will be well-motivated, professional in their approach, and committed to high standards of output. The first 4 weeks will be treated as a trial period, with the possibility of a long-term ongoing relationship for the right candidate.
This project requires that you are able to work remotely, main communications will be via Skype and email.
The skillset required is as follows (1-5 indicates required knowledge level, where 1 indicates a basic/rudimentary knowledge and 5 indicates advanced knowledge):
PHP (Object-Oriented) - 5, Required
PHP pecl libraries - 2, Desirable
Perl - 3, Required
