Interactive product colour selector, changing image +add to cart

I have a Shopify website and I'd like to set up an interactive customer colour selector page for one of my products which is available in several colours. I'd like customers to be able to add different colours and sizes of a product to a background image, edit their selection, removing and adding colours until they're happy, and then be able to add those products to their cart.

So they would pick colours / sizes from some cut out photos and it would stack them up on a background. They could then add their combination to their basket.
I currently have Shopify theme Pacific by Pixel Union, but I am moving to their SuperStore v3.0 at some point, ideally I need it to work with both.
