Interactive 3D build a box

a company who sells bespoke boxes require a build a box online, which requires the ability to add you materials, locks, hinges, woods, compartments, windows in lids, different sizes, RALl colour paints etc. these all need to be added to a 3d image of the box so the customer can see their box on screen visually as they build it. certain elements are only available with certain woods etc so its fairly complex. the box doesnt hae to spin round although my client would like it to rotate!, but flicking from front to back view is good. unsure if we can map materials or just use wireframe for the 3d area. im in a 3d flash persons hands on this one. the final product needs to send the information, say on an xml file to my client so they can process the order. it has to be done in 4 weeks, as i have been let down by my original developer so im starting afresh!
