Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I am in the process of setting up an online dating website. But I am unable to proceed due to a few issues whilst using the online editor.
The platform I'm using is www.whitelabeldating.com - some experience of this type of platform would be preferred.
Below are the jobs I need to complete before I can proceed:
1. The header(s) hasn't been uploaded.
Uploading your header is very easy to do. You first need to upload your image to your hosting package.
An example of the HTML header code is http://s.wldcdn.net/media/justgroup/justsingles/_app/js-logo.png?1.
The image source (img src=) is where your image is hosted so you must insert this before your image URL, as below, and then insert (“display:block”) after to ensure it fits correctly. Add start and closing brackets () to the code, copy it, then enter it into the header box. Example:
The desktop header must be 960x150 and the email header must be 760x150. These dimensions and some examples can be found here: http://s.wldcdn.net/media/partnersupport/resources.zip
2. The Splash Page URL hasn't been entered.
The splash page URL can be entered at Step 6 in the Partner Portal. This is the landing page URL for example http://www.justsingles.com/
Every home/landing page is different and performance varies depending on the acquisition method and the demographic of the target audience. The coding you will require to create the landing page can be downloaded here: http://s.wldcdn.net/media/partnersupport/homepagecoding.zip
The WhiteLabelDating.com platform is mobile optimised. The mobile redirect script can be used so that anyone who visits your page via a mobile device is redirected to a mobile optimised version of your page. This could be a mobile landing page designed by you, or alternatively, the WhiteLabelDating.com registration form which is designed to detect which device users access the site from. It will then show them the desktop or mobile page accordingly.
Please note that if your site is an Adult site, and you are advertising using Google, we recommend not using the ‘latest member feed’ coding we provide as this will pull through explicit images from the platform, and if Google detect these, your page will not be shown in search results.
Dating templates can be found on sites such as Wordpress.com, Themeforest.net and many more. Or you could head to sites such as free
3. The App URL hasn't been entered.
If you haven't already done so, you will need to create a CNAME within your hosting provider settings. To create this go to your advanced domain settings and 'manage your DNS' for the individual domain. Use the drop down menu to select the type of subdomain you wish to create, in this instance select 'CNAME'. You will need to direct the subdomain to alias2.whitelabeldating.com to create the URL successfully.
The subdomain can be named anything (date, app, members, etc). We advise that you keep it short and relevant and make sure it is reflected in the coding for your splash page.
An explanation of how to set up the CNAME can be found within the Resources file. http://s.wldcdn.net/media/partnersupport/resources.zip
