I need a fully functional Website which supports digital music sales/merchandise.

My vision is to create a platform where local musicians can share their digital content, sell music via digital downloads, sell merchandise, host a short video, and also have their own page where fans can rate their music. I would also like to offer a book a gig option where venues can book the highest rated artist and radio stations, record company's can search for talent. The site should be innovative, simple, and comprehensive to the youngest user. I know this is a lot and I am hoping that it's something doable.

What is the scope of the project
Musikarus is an ambitious project which requires multiple levels of strategic planning and implementation in order to generate consistent revenue to maintain operation. During the first year of operation, Musikarus plans to enlist a minimum of 500 local artists in Miami Fl. The website will operate on a free membership for those first 500 artists who will in turn promote the website to friends and other artists. Local music artist will have full access to the website including digital music sales, HD video upload capabilities, Book-a-gig option, bio, Facebook promotional capabilities for a period of six-months. Within the second year Musikarus will set out to increase local artist subscription by 2000 artist and expansion to Ft. Lauderdale. Musikarus plans to expand to Orlando, Jacksonville, and Tampa within a two-year period and increase subscription to 4000 artists. Once the 4000 artists have subscribed and maintained full or partial membership efforts to enlist radio stations and record companies will commence. Within a five-year period Musikarus plans to be in full operation including services in Miami, New York City, Los Angeles, New Jersey, and Boston. A minimum of two record companies and three radio stations will utilize Musikarus as one powerful tool to search for local talent. Local artists will use Musikarus as the ‘place to go’ to sell their music and as an inexpensive platform to promote their talents nationwide.

How will this be accomplished what features will need to be included in the website architecture and design to achieve this goal?
The Musikarus website is essential to accomplishing the goals listed above. The site must apply the fundamentals of good design practices. Simplicity is key, and easy interface between guests and local artists must reflect websites capabilities. Musikarus logo must reflect strength and empowerment to local artists using the site and the winged lioness in gold reflects both aspects. The splash page should be simple with three separate entry points to the different services. (for local artists, for record co. and guests) attractive graphics for each portal is also a must with a soft or neutral color scheme.

Describe target audiences we comfort level and probable hardware and software usage.
Musikarus should be able to operate across different browser and on mobile devices (future project possible app). Hardware requirements are a standard computer with high speed connectivity and USB option to connect mobile devices for uploading and downloading music. A relative understanding of computer skills is necessary to browse and upload/download tracks to Musikarus.

How comfortable is it with interactive online feature, etc.
The Musikarus website should provide users with relatively simple interactive features that carry out basic functions i.e. rating an artist, leaving comment, uploading/downloading songs, subscribing, payments features, book-a-gig options.
