Help with eBook creation (kindle, iPad etc)

I have a few books that currently are being sold as a hard-back book around the world - I would like someone to explain and show me how to turn my PDF's in to eBooks

I will want to get an understand of the marketplace, and what different formats there are for various places like Amazon Kindle, iPad and other platforms that one should take into consideration

This process is for me to understand the market, and in the end enable me to create the eBooks myself - and during this time I would most likely keep you as a Consultant / Advisor
