Extra notes: I have, every now and again, tried to learn a bit of code. I am too old to have learnt anything at school.
It's hard to find decent tutorials that start from the absolute basics and it's a huge field/industry, so trying to actually learn on a part-time, DIY basis is a bit disheartening. I have, therefore, decided on a specific project which (I hope) provides the scope to do something relatively simple whilst aiming for something complex.
My project is to create a legal case management system using Django and Python 3. The project encompasses everything from building a basic database to using algorithms to predict which cases the user is most likely to want to do something with next or the best paragraphs to use in a situation.
I would really like someone or some people to help me on this learning experience. Specifically, I need help with:
setting up a method of joint working;
reviewing what I have done to get a better understanding of what I would like to do;
deciding what needs to be done and what tasks are manageable;
pointing out basic mistakes I am making when writing my code;
pointing me to learning tools/proposing methods of solving specifics problems;
learning how to set up and use a database, from the basics upwards (I can understand the concept of models in Django and a little bit about how to separate different fields etc);
designing a responsive website (I can create a website using html5 and CSS3 but am not very good and don't know javascript);
self-learning algorithms, data mining etc from the absolute basics upwards.
I fully appreciate the list covers a wide range of disciplines and a huge field of study. However I am not expecting one person to teach me everything in five minutes. I don't need everything to be industry-standard and I don't have any specific deadlines. On the other hand, I do need someone - or some people - with incredible patience.
I also have a preference for the framework and development language I have chosen. Although I am happy to listen and learn to someone who says a different way of doing things is better, I need someone who is able to explain in detail why that's the case (I think a lot of people will push for things to be done in something they know well, simply because they know it well so it's easier for them).
I am happy to accept bids for help with any small piece of what I need to do and what I need to learn.
My budget is very small but ongoing, so won't meet the expectations of experienced programmers. However the hourly rate is meant as a guide - if you are more experienced then I may be able to pay more for a few hours of your time, especially if you can supervise or organise the work of others.

Hello Dear
Please let me know if you have any deadline set up in your mind for the project ( if any)
when can we start the project?
Regards
Tye M.29 Jun 2016No deadline. I would be able to start soon but imagine it is more likely that progress would be made with you doing a couple of hours/few hours a week and then me move things on in my own time.

Are you in a rush or flexible on deadline?
Tye M.29 Jun 2016No rush, no deadline. Obviously I want to make progress but it is as much about me learning.
David B.29 Jun 2016ok sounds good. you will pay hourlie or a fix cost?
