We are looking for an engineer to take a logical design to production. Included in the work product should be the full electrical engineering schematics, printed circuit board design, prototype, and production materials (BOM, Gerber files, etc).
The product we want designed is a High Speed (480 Mbps) USB 2.0 to 16 channel audio adapter. The device is for HiFi audio usage so high audio quality is important, but as a consumer electronics device this must be balanced with both design and production costs. As such, a "mid-fi" approach is sufficient with items like gold plated connectors, but not overly complex circuits. The outputs will all be gold-plated stereo RCA connectors. See the attached logical diagram for our logical design concept (with selected components).
Bids should not exceed $16,000 USD as we have a firm project bid from a design house at this rate. Your bid price must account for and INCLUDE prototype parts. Testing will be done using a Debian Linux system with standard Alsa drivers.
