Description
Experience Level: Expert
We are looking for an experienced web programmer and developer who can build a Drupal website with the following features:
- Main website, consisting of a number of text-pages, editable by the ISFO
- A newsfeed which updates itself from the ISFO twitter account
- Payment area with integrated paypal and direct debit
- Two mailing lists: One for paying users and one for free users
- Members area which is only accessible via an individual log in
- Members can build their own page with basic information and a photo and video link portfolio
- email communication system between members
- members are able to comment on each others’ portfolio projects
- members are able to tweet about their own projects
- members are able to search for each other based on profile information
- An interactive calendar website on which members can post events
The design should be copied from www.futureinfilm.com (with some changes to the menu) and be converted into a drupal theme.
The website must be completed and tested by the end of June 2011. Payment will depend on the candidate's experience and suggested turnaround time.
It is essential that the developer has good communication skills and stays in touch during the development.
Code should be written cleanly and needs to result in a website that is maintainable in the future.
****
CLARIFICATIONS:
For all people who have asked questions with regards to the payment and the user profiles:
The website will have a public area which everyone can access (very much like www.futureinfilm.com) and then a user-only area.
Non-paying members can sign up to a mailing list to stay up to date, but will not be able to access the members' area and will not need to pay.
Paying members sign up (eg give us some information and then are added to a paying-user-only-mailing list which is going to be used for a weekly newsletter). They then pay $5/£3/€3.50 per month via direct debit and can access the members area (as suggested on www.futureinfilm.com where the members area is password protected) with THEIR OWN password and username. There they will be able to use the features which we listed in the thid section of the list.
We are happy to use mailchimp for both of the lists, however as the paying list is connected to paypal; if a user stops the direct debit payments, the system will automatically need to removed them from the mailing list, too.
User profiles include a list of questions (name, location, films made, etc) and a picture which students can add and change at any time. They can also tweet about projects from their profiles.
Members have their own 'portfolio' page on which they can upload scripts or post links to films that they have uploaded elsewhere. Ideally, there should be a function that when they enter a film to a festival (from the calendar), the festival is added as a link behind the film. This means that students could build their own online fetsival portfolio.
Re: The calender: This could just be an integrated google calendar integrated into the website (as it is at the moment), hoever, it would be ideal if people could, again, tweet about entering a certain competition. It is not completely necessary for members to have access, too.
We are assuming that all excisting features of www.futureinfilm.com will be transferred into the drup page, eg a header with links, facebook/twitter links, terms and conditions, etc
The only thing that will need to change is the menu because we wish to integrate the indevidual supmenues into one big one, however we are open to suggestions how this would be done best.
Hope this helps with the bids!
