Create a Google Apps intranet

We are a small virtual online imaging company. We want some help building out a really great Google Apps intranet. We already have Google apps, and our email is ready to go. But we need someone to guide us through creating an intranet with shared calendaring, some of the usual widgets, and most important of all a shared or partially shared to do list.
