COURSEWORK DESCRIPTION

Update

Mastermind game interface to develop and test software for the coursework.

Students are required to write a C program that implements the following functions:

Connect to a Mastermind Server using a specific network IP address and port number.
Use a unique user ID to register with the Mastermind Server.
Perform initialization steps to join the active game session on the Mastermind Server.
Provide a user interface for the user to play the game.
Perform steps to properly logout and unregister from the Mastermind Server.

This coursework requires students to learn:

Structured C programming with a variety of data types, flow of control techniques and program functions.
Client server connectivity using a basic application programming interface.
User interface design using basic text features in a console window.
Rules for playing Mastermind, a code breaking game (see Wikipedia entry for Mastermind).
