Cloud engineer required with experience building and running systems to serve web pages in either Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure (whichever you are most confident operating) for a small affiliate marketing company.
You will be required to build a system to deploy multiple single web pages to clients in regions around the world, as part of growing ad campaigns. A database system may also be required in future to store and serve customer information sent via web sign-up forms.
Experience of managing elasticity and load balancing essential as this will directly affect performance of ad campaigns and company revenues.
You will also be required to show the director of the company basic administration of the system (file management, managing apps/VMs, etc) in anticipation of any days you are unable to work.
I’m based in London and will be in regular contact to set tasks and reasonable deadlines for completion. I’m looking for someone who is a great communicator and will raise potential issues and suggestions before they become a problem. I’m open to hearing your ideas on potential improvements.
Assignments will be on an ongoing basis according to campaign activity, with a routine of daily maintenance by you or myself (the director) to ensure all is running smoothly.

How many VM's are you looking at having in place?Ben P.31 Jul 2018
I’d prefer AWS/Azure due to the number of sites each has worldwide.
As for the number of VMs, I’ve no idea I’m afraid. It’s not my area of expertise. Best, Ben
Would you allow some other provider besides AWS and MS?
Ben, is remote work fine ?Ben P.31 Jul 2018
Hi Henry, yes, it's a remote working position. Thanks for pointing that out, I'll add it to the job description.
All the best,
