Description
Experience Level: Entry
The purpose of this work is to deepen a topic related to web server course (deepening the theme, study of tools or frameworks, etc.)
The report, which should be 3 to 4 pages long. Concerning the form, keep it simple, it's not worth spending time on the formatting.
***********
You will have to give your sources, and therefore make a bibliography. It is first of all a documentary research work.
***********
The report can take different forms depending on the subject. It can be for example a presentation of the problems of the topic, a comparison of different tools or frameworks, the motivations and the interest of a type of tool or framework, a state of the art, the functioning and the interest of a particular technology, its advantages compared to another one etc. The goal is not to be exhaustive, you don't have the space for that. In general, try to be critical, and not just copy the description of the site... Put things in perspective.
The proposed topics are the following:
1/ Advanced HTTP:
content negotiation (conneg)
conditional requests
cache operation
new versions (HTTP/2, HTTP/3)
2/ security:
attacks and vulnerabilities (see for example OWASP)
CSRF, XSS
functionning of HTTPS/TLS
authentication systems (classic forms, JWT, OAuth, ...)
3/ web services and API
gRPC
REST
GraphQL
4/ RGPD and data protection
5/ Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
6/ server side development frameworks (approaches, comparisons, presentation, usage statistics, ...)
Deadline: in 5 days.
