Description
Experience Level: Entry
Estimated project duration: 7 minutes
Description:
This is a simple user test, not a technical QA task. I need people physically located in specific US states to record a short 5-minute video of themselves using a website. The goal is to confirm that the site loads and works correctly in different regions.
Requirements:
You must actually be located in the US, in the state you claim (no VPNs).
Use a desktop or laptop, not a phone or tablet.
Have screen-recording software and a microphone.
Speak while you record.
Do not open the website link before you start recording.
What to do:
1. Start recording your screen and voice.
2. Visit https://mylocation.org and click “Browser Geolocation.” Show the result briefly so your city and state are visible. This confirms your real location.
3. In a new tab, open the link I’ll provide. Please say aloud which operating system and browser you are using.
4. Spend five minutes exploring the site and talking about what you see. While you’re doing this, mention anything that looks broken, slow, or odd. If nothing stands out, just describe what you’re seeing, what you understand about it, and your general thoughts as you go.
5. Focus mainly on the Solutions, Store, and Pricing pages. Add a product to the basket and go partway through checkout, but don’t buy anything. Do not stop to watch any on-page videos.
6. You can click “Book a Demo” if you like, just to see that it opens a US-targeted booking page. Once you’ve checked that, close it and return to the main website.
7. Avoid “Try for Free” or the support subdomain.
8. Stop recording and upload the video file.
Deliverable:
A single screen recording of about five minutes with voice commentary, starting with your browser-based location proof.
Budget:
$10 per person.
Please include your state in your proposal and confirm that you are physically located there. I’ll approve testers manually before sharing the link.
