Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Small piece of registration coding, to start immediately and be delivered quickly.
Cuppa is a work-in-progress tool for searching for and recommending off-the-beaten-track cafes. It is built using Jquery Mobile, PHP and a MySQL database.
Users are to be allowed to explore the site without logging in, but before adding a new entry to the Cuppa database of cafes I need users to register or login via Facebook (using the Facebook Registration Plugin, perhaps).
When the user now adds a cafe, Cuppa needs to take their Facebook name and their profile image URL and store this alongside the cafe details they enter in the database. The intention is that these will be displayed alongside the cafe search results. (e.g. “Cafe X, in Berlin, recommended by JohnSmith [profile_picture]”)
Users should also stay registered and logged in as they move throughout the site.
I see this as a small piece of work that, owing to having no time, I am not able to learn and implement myself. The finished code MUST be thoroughly commented at every step, and I also need to be shown how the code works (via a walkthrough on Skype, preferrably).
The ambition (at a later date) is to have a comments and ratings system that will again rely on this Facebook login, so it's important that I understand how the registration process / code works.
