Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the business: Holiday Villa Websites
Kind of development: New program from scratch
Description of requirements/functionality: I currently run a number of websites based on an Model View Controller framework with view layer being built on Bootstrap mobile friendly framework.
Currently the main navigation menu for each website is hard coded in the view layer. I wish to make management of this main navigation menu easier by having the basic structure, order and urls for the menu stored in an xml file which is called by the view layer to convert the file into HTML for presentation of the menu.
I am looking for a php developer to build me a function to read an xml file and turn it into the html used for the main navigation menu. I several examples of the menus I will require to create but ideally the function will be built to cater for all the most obvious bootstrap collapsible menu options.
This work requires the developer to also create a few example xml formats to support the function (i.e. the file read in).
This first piece of work could lead to future developments on the function(s) as this is to support a Content Management System so in future would like ability to add new, update, delete and re-order links (by adjusting/rebuilding the xml file).
Thanks
Ewan
Specific technologies required: PHP7
