Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
Task: Site redesign (limited redesign) and api integration from jobamatic
Number of pages to be redesigned – index, aboutus/next level page, jobs pages (api pages)
Details:
a) Do you have any experience in xml api (see link below):
http://support.simplyhired.com/entries/328001-Is-the-XML-API-right-for-me-
b) We have a site - http://www.mywellnessjobs.com/ which is based on above platform.
c) On this site, the index/home page is OURS (our template).
d) But when you select any jobs from this index page, it takes you to the subdomain site http://jobs.mywellnessjobs.com/.
e) This subdomain is the site which connects to the jobamatic site. We created a free website from jobamatic. They create the content and provide job postings.
For now, we are NOT using an api - so the site resides on jobamatic server and our jobs subdomain points to it.
f) This subdomain site is currently built in jobamatic i.e. gets auto matic info from jobamatic - and is hosted on their server. We do not have control over this site - as you can see that the formatting for this subdomain is off. We control only basic color, and header/footer for the site. That is the reason we cannot make these pages look exactly like the main site (for example see the header difference between the domain and sub domain).
g) In other words, this subdomain is their (jobamatic) website! We just use our subdomain alias to point to their site. So our subdomain jobs.weightlossecretstore.com points to their site weightlossecretstore.jobamatic.com.
h) They then provide us login to the above site, where we can change the header/footer code through css/html.
i) The problem is that we do not have any control over the job listings other than being able to choose the color scheme and the header and footer.
j) In future, we want more control on our site (look, feel, data), so we want someone with api expertise to do that for us. Let us know if you can rebuild our site (just a couple of pages - home, details) using jobamatic api.
k) We need a jobamatic api that can do exactly what the current site jobs.mywellnessjobs.com is doing.
l) Using their api will help us use jobamatic content and format it in whatever way we like.
m) We want you to build a basic site using the jobamatic api - which will auto send jobs. This site needs to have the same look and feel of the subdomain site.
n) Please review our current site (index page that we control) and see if we can redesign this page to make it look better (and responsive). We want to enhance the overall look and feel of the site as well!
o) You can read how to use their apis here:
http://support.simplyhired.com/forums/273437-XML-API
p) We would like to see the site up and running by the end of this weekend/ by Sunday if possible.
Let us know what you need from us to make this happen.
