Hello, I need to search Factiva for specific company names (i.e., Chevron) for 65 different companies along with relevant search terms (e.g., environmental*, activism*, etc) across 9 years (2007-2015) and across 10 major U.S. based new publication sources (i.e., Chicago Sun-Times, The Denver Post). I need the news article results returned and indexed in separate folder by (1) firm name, (2) year, and (3) news publication source (e.g., Folder 1 - Chevron, 2007, Chicago Sun-Times). I need someone to create a program that will do this for me.

    Hi, I would think that if you are a Factiva subscriber, this would be available as part of their service. Perhaps they can help you set it up? If you need manual searching with a little (or lots of) analysis, let me know.

    Hello John, I do have access to Factiva, but they do not allow such large data pulls (100 articles at a time only) and the amount of data pulls that I need is prohibitive to doing it manually. That is why I need someone to automate this process for me in Python.
