Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the business: O&G company
Kind of development: New program from scratch
Num. of modules: 1-2
Description of every module: There should be one module that loads a list of terms to search for (range in excel), loads the pdf, searches for each term, extracts the page(s) when it finds the term, and saves it as the search term.
Currently in the pdf file, adobe's search function is able to find the text I am looking for (so it is legible to a search function).
Description of requirements/functionality: The macro either needs to search 1 pdf file and do as described above, or if easier, it needs to search through multiple word documents, file the term, save the page as a pdf, and name it as the search term.
I have found various macros that do similar tasks:
http://www.vbaexpress.com/kb/getarticle.php?kb_id=158 - however, this macro only allows you to search one term and it does not extract the found page, it only gives you the page number(s).
OS requirements: Windows
Extra notes: Unfortunately I don't have example files that I can provide.. Please let me know if it's mandatory to provide me an estimate.
So, as a summary - the end goal is to search for multiple terms, extract the page(s) which the term appears, and save the extracted page(s) as a pdf. Whether this be done in word or pdf makes no difference to me, except for the limitation stated above (search through multiple word docs).
